Ignite Fire @ Safety Ltd uses various Assessment formats that relate to the individual size and requirements of the property, to ensure the assessment is not only suitable for the property concerned but also that the assessment is delivered at an appropriate cost.
The Fire & Safety order applies in England and Wales (Northern Ireland and Scotland have their own laws).
This is the replacement option most similar in system design and function to Halon and the most common halocarbon for this use is FM200.
Like Halon, FM200 is a liquefiable gas, stored in liquid form and only achieving its operating gas state when released at the dispersion point.
FM-200 systems are designed to detect and suppress fire at its earliest stage and extinguish in seconds through a chemical reaction so the oxygen level in the facility remains at a breathable level.
FM-200 is absolutely safe for people and is approved in occupied areas, unlike Co2.

Duration of the courses run from 1 1/2 hours up to 3 1/2 hours and all participants on the courses will receive a Certificate of Competence.
A dry riser is a dry pipe that runs parallel through the building with outlets on each floor.
The main inlet is commonly found on the ground floor, this is where the fire brigade connect their supply.
In Buildings which have Dry Risers these must comply with the new British Standard BS 9990/2006.
If you do not comply with these regulations severe penalties may be incurred.
It is the responsibility of the property owners or the managing agents to comply with these standards.
The annual testing and maintenance of both Dry and Wet Risers is the responsibility of the property owners or managing agents.
